Bacliff Texas (77518) is a seaside unincorporated area of Galveston county with approximately 7000 residents just south of Kemath and 16 miles northwest of Galveston. It began as Clifton-By-The-Sea in 1910 as a seaside resort town. The town became Bacliff in the late 1940s-early 1950s and was originally supported by the shrimping industry. It’s major subdivision is Chase Park which provides nice waterfront homes.
